Fachri Albar Sentenced to 6 Months Rehabilitation for Drug Case

Actor Fachri Albar is once again facing legal proceedings due to a drug abuse case. The former husband of Renata Kusmanto has been prosecuted by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) to undergo inpatient rehabilitation for six months. The latest trial for the drug case involving the son of legendary musician Ahmad Albar has been ongoing at the West Jakarta District Court.

According to data gathered from the West Jakarta District Court Case Tracking Information System, the first hearing for this case has been recorded since August 13, 2025, with registration number 663/Pid.Sus/2025/PN Jkt.Brt.

In the hearing, the Public Prosecutor firmly read the charges against the star of the film 'Satan's Servant'. Fachri Albar was proven to have legally and convincingly committed the offense of abusing narcotics of class I and receiving psychotropic substances without a doctor's prescription.

"Declaring the Defendant FACHRI ALBAR Alias AI Bin ACHMAD ALBAR legally and convincingly guilty of committing the crime of abusing Narcotics of class I for himself and receiving the handover of psychotropic substances other than from hospitals, treatment centers, or community health centers, and without a doctor's prescription, as the user," said the Public Prosecutor based on the investigation in the Jakarta West District Court Case Information Search System, Thursday (28/8/2025).

Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor in his demands also requested that Fachri Albar undergo treatment and medication. This is viewed as the best solution rather than having to languish behind bars.

"To impose a sentence on the Defendant FACHRI ALBAR Alias AI Bin ACHMAD ALBAR with treatment and medication through inpatient rehabilitation for 6 (six) months at the Lido Rehabilitation Center, reduced by the period of arrest and while the Defendant is in temporary detention," said the Public Prosecutor.

For the next court session, it is scheduled to be held on September 3, 2025. On that day, Fachri Albar is scheduled to read his plea or defense statement. Of course, the public and his fans are waiting to see how this case unfolds.

It should be noted that drug cases are not new for Fachri Albar. Previously, in 2007, his name was on the wanted list (DPO) after 1.2 grams of cocaine was found in a medicine box, before he finally surrendered to the BNN.

Then, in February 2018, he was arrested again at his home in the Cirendeu area, South Tangerang. At that time, the police found several types of narcotics such as marijuana, methamphetamine, and alprazolam.

The case resulted in a 7-month rehabilitation sentence. Most recently, on April 20, 2025, Fachri Albar was again secured at his home in the South Jakarta area by the West Jakarta Metro Police for a similar case.
