Chikita Meidy Comments on Indra Aditya Who Again Skips Mediation Hearing

The divorce process currently being undertaken by former child singer Chikita Meidy has encountered another obstacle. For the second time, her husband, Indra Aditya Rahim, did not attend the mediation hearing at the Tigaraksa Religious Court in Tangerang Banten, on Tuesday (19/8/2025).

According to this mother of one, mediation is a crucial stage that must be attended by both parties to discuss the best way forward, especially concerning the future of their son, Javier.

Indra's absence, coupled with the lack of a special power of attorney given to his representative, seems to signal that this process is being deliberately delayed. "His special power of attorney also did not arrive," said Chikita Meidy after the hearing.

In the first hearing that was supposed to be held on July 22, Indra was also absent, claiming he was on a business trip out of town. However, now he is absent again, citing illness without providing evidence. Chikita regrets this delay, as she has to sacrifice time and energy amidst her busy schedule as a working single mother.

"On July 22, both the defendant and the plaintiff were called to conduct mediation first, but because on July 22 Mr. Indra did not come, claiming to be in Lampung for business, mediation could not be conducted," she explained.

The singer of "Kuku Ku" emphasized that her goal in mediation is not to reconcile, but to clarify each party's rights and obligations after officially separating. She is puzzled as to why Indra's side seems not to understand the importance of this stage, especially since the judge has provided clear guidance.

"I was already informed by Mr. Hakim and the lady judges, 'The defendant should come first so that we can continue the process for the main trial.' It seems that the legal representatives and the principal or defendant do not understand this. I think I understand it better than them," she said.

Chikita feels that this delay is unreasonable, considering that both parties have essentially agreed to end the marriage. According to her, Indra's attitude of continuously avoiding the situation only strengthens her belief that her husband has indeed given up on maintaining their marriage.

"What’s the point of delaying it when we have already agreed to divorce and we both accept that Indra has given up on this marriage," she stated.

For Chikita, Indra's negligence in fulfilling his obligations has been sufficient evidence. She also reminded him about the role and responsibility of a husband in providing for the family. "Even in payments, he is negligent; clothing, food, and shelter are his responsibilities. If the wife has, it is merely to help and assist," she concluded.
