Instagram Celebrity Isa Zega Transferred to the Malang District Attorney's Office, Detained in Women's Prison

Kapanlagi.com - Influencer Isa Zega has officially been handed over to the Malang District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in a case of alleged defamation against the owner of the beauty brand MS Glow, Shandy Purnamasari. This case was previously handled by the East Java Police before the case files and the suspect were finally submitted to the Prosecutor's Office.

Isa Zega arrived at the Malang District Attorney's Office accompanied by investigators from the East Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) on Tuesday (11/2/2025) evening. Upon arrival, Isa appeared relaxed wearing white pajamas, a blue jacket, and sandals. She also took a moment to greet reporters with a smile and jokes.

Isa underwent a document examination for about an hour before being taken to the Class IIA Women’s Prison in Sukun District, Malang City, to serve a 20-day detention while awaiting trial at the Kepanjen District Court (PN).

The Head of the Malang District Attorney's Office, Agus Eko Wahyudi, explained that they only received the case files and the suspect for the second stage. He also assured that the trial against Isa Zega will be held soon.

"After we received this handover, the next stage will soon be submitted to the Kepanjen District Court. We are waiting for the trial schedule," said Agus Eko Wahyudi on Wednesday (12/2/2025).

1. Chronology of the Isa Zega Case

The alleged defamation case involving Instagram celebrity and artist manager, Isa Zega, began with a report from Shandy Purnamasari, the owner of the beauty brand MS Glow and wife of businessman Gilang Widya Permana (Juragan99). The incident occurred in January 2025. Shandy reported Isa to the East Java Police after feeling harmed by statements that allegedly defamed her.

On Wednesday (1/8/2025), Isa Zega was summoned by the police for an initial examination regarding the case. After a series of investigations, she was finally secured on Thursday (1/23/2025) night for an in-depth examination lasting three hours. The East Java Police officially detained Isa the following day, Friday (1/24/2025), after posing 18 questions and obtaining several pieces of evidence that strengthened the allegations of defamation.

"Yes, we have detained her," said the Head of Sub-Directorate II of Cyber Crime at the East Java Police, AKBP Charles P. Tampubolon. He also added that Isa may still be summoned for further questioning if additional information is needed.

The detention of Isa Zega has attracted public attention, especially in the entertainment world. Celebrity Nikita Mirzani also responded to this case by writing a sarcastic comment on social media.

"Congratulations to Isa Zega, the blasphemer who is now detained by the East Java Police. Don't forget Sahrul (presumably Isa Zega's former name) still has a report at the South Jakarta Police regarding the blasphemy case. Hope you enjoy your time, Sahrul Isa Zega, in your new place," she wrote.

Previously, Isa had performed umrah while wearing women's Muslim attire complete with a long hijab. This sparked controversy, considering he is suspected to be male.
