Jonathan Frizzy Engages in Heated Argument in Courtroom, Grilling Co-Defendant

The atmosphere in the Tangerang District Court suddenly heated up as the trial of the vape case containing etomidate that ensnared Jonathan Frizzy entered a new phase. The courtroom became a silent witness to the intense argument between Ijonk and his fellow defendant, Evan Darma Saputra, who exchanged rebuttals in front of the panel of judges.

This confrontation occurred during a witness examination session on Wednesday (10/9/2025), where Jonathan Frizzy was given the opportunity to directly question Evan. This moment ignited a fierce debate over who actually knew about the prohibited substance in the vape from the very beginning.

In a firm tone, the former husband of Dhena Devanka claimed that he had no knowledge of the term "etomidate" until it was explained by the police during the examination process (BAP).

"Excuse me, Your Honor. Uh, Bro Evan. When I, Erna, and Bahrul were questioned in the BAP at the police station by Mr. Kasat Michael, that was when he explained, 'Do you know if this is etomidate or not?', 'I don't know', right? They explained that this is etomidate," said Jonathan Frizzy during the trial at the Tangerang District Court on Wednesday (10/9/2025).

Feeling that Evan's previous testimony cornered him, Ijonk then threw a sharp question that became the peak of the debate. "Now I want to ask, Bro, when did you tell me this is etomidate?" asked Jonathan Frizzy.

The answer given by Evan was equally shocking. He confidently stated that he had informed Ijonk since the first time they tried the vape together. "When we first tried it," revealed Evan Darma Saputra.

Immediately, Ijonk strongly denied the statement. "No way. I only learned the word etomidate from the police. That’s a word from the police," countered Jonathan Frizzy.

Not stopping there, the 43-year-old actor even accused Evan of being the one who always convinced him that the vape was safe and not an illegal item, which is why he dared to use it.

"Evan never said that it was etomidate, in fact, Evan always assured me from the beginning until he said there were police and friends at BNN that this is not an illegal item, not a hard drug, and not narcotics. That's why this is safe," he continued.

In the midst of the increasingly heated debate, the presiding judge intervened and asked for clarity from Evan. However, Evan remained steadfast in his stance. "I stand by my statement," Evan replied firmly.

Previously, Evan indeed acknowledged that he had explained to Ijonk that the vape contained "etomidate" or anesthetic, but he also emphasized that the substance is not a narcotic. Now, the trial has become a stage for claims between the two defendants.
