Mike Leaves, Bagindas Break Up?

The news of the guitarist's departure has been confirmed by Andra, the vocalist of Bagindas. He has sensed that something is not right since Mike decided to pursue a solo career.

"Mike's departure has been sensed since he released his solo single," said Andra, the vocalist, when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, not long ago.

Andra further stated that he does not know the exact reason why Mike chose to leave Bagindas.

"He (Mike) just said, 'it's time for me to leave. Just continue on'," said Andra imitating Mike.

1. What is Bagindas' Fate?

As a result, after Mike's departure, Andra admitted that he didn't know what Bagindas' future would be like. Because Mike played an important role in Bagindas.

"If the engine has resigned, what's the point of having Bagindas?" said Andra.

However, Andra couldn't be sure whether Bagindas, which has been formed for more than 10 years, will remain as a memory. According to Andra, rather than being fixated on Bagindas, which is currently on hiatus, it's better for him to choose to remain actively involved in music by forming a new band.

"Finally, I decided to form the band Paunktura three months ago. We have released two singles," said Andra.

Bass player of Bagindas, Wendy, expressed a similar sentiment. She deeply regrets that Bagindas has to be in such a state.

"With Mike's departure, the Bagindas project has become uncertain, so I returned to (the band) Romance. In times of pandemic like this, we have to be active, rather than waiting for Bagindas, which is uncertain. I choose to remain productive, wherever I can channel my creativity," said Wendy.
