The younger brother of the late Olga Syahputra admitted that he only found out about Mpok Alpa's condition a few months before she passed away. That moment happened unexpectedly on the shooting location when Mpok Alpa replaced Anwar Sanjaya.

"I just found out recently, just a few months ago. It was during the filming of my show," said Billy Syahputra when met in Mampang, South Jakarta, on Monday (18/8/2025).

Billy recounted that, as usual, Mpok Alpa greeted him warmly. However, after that, a moment happened that left him in shock. Without any small talk, Mpok Alpa took off the wig she had been wearing.

In front of Billy, Mpok Alpa's head was revealed to be bald due to undergoing chemotherapy. That moment left Billy speechless.

"The first time I found out she was sick, she immediately took off her wig, I'm sorry, her head is bald, I was shocked, oh God, Mpok why?" Billy reminisced.

Mpok Alpa then whispered and admitted that Billy was one of the few people she trusted to know about her condition, besides Irfan Hakim and Raffi Ahmad. "'Yes, brother Billy, the ones who know are brother Billy, A Irfan, and A Raffi'. She said that," Billy recounted.

2. Mpok Alpa Remains Cheerful

Billy then asked what illness Mpok Alpa was suffering from, and his friend's brief answer made him even more touched. "What did I say was wrong, Mpok? 'Cancer, after chemotherapy, Bang Billy.' Oh God," he said softly.

Despite knowing that shocking fact, Billy saw Mpok Alpa continue to show extraordinary professionalism. During the filming, Mpok Alpa remained cheerful as if she was not bearing the heavy burden of illness.

"Just stay healthy, Mpok, in the end, we filmed normally as if we didn't feel any illness at all when I look at you," concluded Billy.
