Nindy Ayunda Always Avoids Summons from Investigators Regarding Kidnapping Case, Police Threaten to Take Her by Force

Kapanlagi.com - The alleged kidnapping case involving Nindy in 2021 has resurfaced. The latest news reports that Nindy has been summoned by the Central Jakarta police to provide a statement as a suspect.

So far, Nindy has reportedly ignored the police summons. The case has now been highlighted by the National Police Commission (Kompolnas).

"Investigators must periodically inform the complainant about the progress of the case, including information on any obstacles in handling the case," said Poengky Indarti, a Kompolnas commissioner, via WhatsApp message on Monday (4/4/2022).

Poengky emphasized that Article 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code states that witnesses are required to attend investigative summons. In fact, the police have the authority to forcibly bring the witness in if there is no response after several summons.

"If the witness does not show up twice in a row without a valid reason, the police have the authority to summon or forcibly bring them in," said Poengky.

If the complainant feels that the investigators are not handling the case professionally, Poengky also suggests making a report to the internal Polri employee through the Dumas Presisi application. Poengky also welcomes the complainant to report to Kompolnas as the functional supervisor of Polri.

"Accompanied by a chronology of the case, supporting evidence, and a copy of the complainant's identification card to the Kompolnas Secretariat," he explained.

Based on the complaint received from the complainant, Poengky said that Kompolnas will clarify the matter with the Jakarta Metro Police. The main goal is to uphold the law.

"We are very open to the public who feel that there are irregularities in the legal process in the police. We will follow up and request clarification. In the case of Nindy Ayunda, we will go to the Jakarta Metro Police," he concluded.

2. Nindy Ayunda Reported by the Wife of the Victim

On a different occasion, Fahmi Bachmid, the victim's lawyer, said that Nindy was reported by Rini Diana, the wife of Sulaeman, Nindy Ayunda's driver who was said to have become a kidnapping victim.

"Rini Diana reported the kidnapping case experienced by her husband to the South Jakarta Police. In addition to her husband, another kidnapping victim is Lia Haryati, Nindy Ayunda's former babysitter. The report number is LP/904/II/YAN2.5/2021/SPKT PMJ Article 333," said Fahmi.

He confirmed that Nindy Ayunda had skipped several times from the summons of the South Jakarta Police investigators. "Why isn't she forcibly taken?" he said.
