Reni Effendi, Wife of Dr. Richard Lee, Involved in Husband's Case, Now Undergoing Examination

This time, his wife, Reni Effendi, is also caught up and must undergo examination as a witness at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Police.

The examination of Reni Effendi took place on Friday (27/3/2026) and is part of the investigators' efforts to complete the case file that will soon be forwarded to the prosecutor's office.

Sub-Director of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kompol Andaru Rahutomo, confirmed the examination. According to him, the testimony from the suspect's wife is crucial to strengthen the legal framework in this case.

"Today, an examination was conducted on the wife of the suspect DRL by the Ditreskrimsus of the Metro Jaya Police. Sister RE, who is the wife of DRL, is being examined, and it is still in the examination process," said Kompol Andaru Rahutomo in the Lobby of the Bidhumas Building of the Metro Jaya Police, Friday (27/3/2026).

Meanwhile, Dr. Richard Lee is confirmed to still be detained at the Metro Jaya Police Detention Center. His detention period may be extended if the investigators require additional time to complete the files.
