Wendi stated that the playing of this song is part of the final tribute to Ricky. He emphasized that this request was a will that had long been conveyed by the deceased.
"So the playing of this song is one of the wills that we carry out, we fulfill at the request of the deceased. But that statement was made a long time ago, more than 10 years ago," said Wendi.

According to Wendi, Ricky often talked about his favorite songs or albums during casual conversations. On several occasions, Ricky had mentioned the song Landslide as a song that was very meaningful to him.
"Because usually he talks about songs or albums that he likes, he likes to be asked about it," said Wendi Putranto.
Memories of the song further strengthen the emotional bond between Ricky and his closest ones. Wendi added that for Ricky, Landslide is a touching and very personal song.
"This song is very touching for him, and he wants this song to be played when the time comes," Wendi said.
Although Ricky never explicitly requested the song to be played at his funeral, the expressions he conveyed were quite clear. Wendi emphasized that they just want to fulfill the simple wish that Ricky once expressed.
"He didn’t say this song must be played at the funeral, he just said, 'when the time comes, I want this song to be played'," said Wendi.
