Roy Suryo Says Lucky Alamsyah Has Twisted Facts Like in Soap Operas

Kapanlagi.com - Former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Roy Suryo has just undergone an examination for his report against artist Lucky Alamsyah at the Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday (2/6/2021). The telematics expert became a witness in a case of alleged defamation and slander related to a hit-and-run story uploaded on social media accounts.

"I have completed the follow-up from our report at the SPKT a few days ago, which is about defamation report. The twisting of facts and also the slander committed by Mr. LA, whose current status has been elevated as a suspect in his insta story post that is not based on facts," said Roy Suryo at the Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday (2/6/2021).

1. Lucky Alamsyah's Words Are Not True

Roy Suryo said that everything said by Lucky Alamsyah is not true. In fact, he should be the victim because Lucky Alamsyah has mentioned the former minister.

"What happened was twisted like in a soap opera. I should be the victim, but it was said that the former minister RS hit and run. That is a clear violation of the ITE Law number 19 of 2016, specifically in Article 27 in conjunction with Article 45 and also in the Criminal Code Article 310," he said.

2. Undergoing Examination

Three witnesses underwent examination, one of whom is Roy Suryo's legal counsel, Pitra Romadoni Nasution. Roy admitted that he couldn't remember how many questions were asked by the investigator regarding the case.

"Honestly, I forgot. I was more focused on the details of the post and was also asked if I accessed it myself or just posted it," said Roy Suryo.

"I was questioned with 23 questions, as for the substance, let the investigator answer. What I want to emphasize here is that the statements made by LA are not true. So we need clarification and we will set it straight. Why did we do this? Because our client feels greatly harmed by LA's actions, and it is precisely because we feel harmed that we reported it," concluded Pitra Romadoni.
