Ruben Onsu Absent from Police Summons, Requests Mediation Through Legal Counsel

Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu is back in the spotlight after being reported to the South Jakarta Police regarding allegations of investment fraud. At the first examination summons on Friday (28/8), the presenter did not attend the investigator's summons.

His legal counsel, Machi Achmad, visited the South Jakarta Police to convey the reasons for his client's absence and to submit an official letter and request mediation between the complainant and the reported party.

"I met directly with the investigator. We submitted a mediation request letter to bring together the complainant and the reported party," said Machi Achmad.

1. Official Letter and Mediation Request Submitted

Machi emphasized that the letter for postponement of the examination has been officially submitted to the investigator. He mentioned that his side also received a receipt from the police, so his client's absence at the first summons cannot be considered as an act of evasion.

"Anyway, we also sent an official letter, not evading, okay? If it were evading, there would be no news. This is from the legal representative who came to deliver the official letter, and it was also acknowledged by the investigative team, it was allowed, you know," stressed Machi Achmad.

In addition to the postponement letter, a mediation request was also submitted to bring together the reporting party and the reported party. Machi stated that he has met directly with the investigator at the South Jakarta Police to present all related documents.

2. Obstacles in Collecting Investigation Documents

According to Machi, the request for postponement was not made without reason. The legal team still needs time to complete several data requested by the investigator so that the examination process can proceed with adequate supporting documents.

"There are many data that uh are missing and like, for example, the agreement, RSO also doesn't have it, but moving forward, we will focus on protecting Mas Ruben," explained Machi Achmad.

He explained that there are business agreement documents that were not in his client's possession at one point. This condition has become one of the obstacles that slow down the process of completing the documents as requested by the investigator.

3. Ruben Onsu's Commitment for Further Summons

Although requesting a postponement, Machi ensured that Ruben Onsu remains cooperative. He stated that his client is ready to attend the second summons scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026.

"We are requesting it for next Friday, yes, next week. But if it can be resolved before that, that would be better, right?" concluded Machi Achmad.

Machi added that the rescheduling is solely aimed at ensuring that the examination proceeds optimally with complete evidence as requested by the investigator.
