Ruben Onsu's Side Tired of Responding to Press Conferences, Touches on Child Support of Rp225 Million per Month

Minola Sebayang as the legal representative of Ruben Onsu feels weary with the series of press conferences continuously held by the former wife of his client. He believes this dispute has become like an endless exchange of poetic responses in public.

This statement arises in response to various accusations targeting Ruben Onsu in the media recently. One of the sensitive issues discussed is regarding the responsibility for child support for the children from their marriage.

He emphasized that Ruben Onsu's legal team is ready to disclose more data if Sarwendah continues to provoke trouble. However, for the sake of mutual benefit, direct communication channels are prioritized at this time.

"It's not about mutual embarrassment; it means we also have many things we can convey that we initially did not want to share. And whatever we convey is based on facts and is not rhetoric," concluded Minola Sebayang.

"So, after a while, I see this like a poetic exchange, right? It never ends. So hopefully after today we can exercise our right to respond to the press conference held by S's legal representative this afternoon, and we hope for a resolution to the problem that no longer uses public areas," said Minola Sebayang when met in the Bangka area, South Jakarta, on Monday (1/6/2026).

"Yesterday I already showed this: it was stated that Sarwendah openly said Ruben Onsu did not pay for the children's school after the divorce. Here it is. So if there are no issues, things like that should not appear in the media. They should not appear," said Minola while showing evidence.

Minola clarified that Ruben has been providing a very large amount of support to his children. "This means that S should no longer question who is supporting their child. They are both the parents, right? Not just Ruben's child, but their child together. So if, for example, in the past Ruben has been giving so generously, whatever is given up to hundreds of millions," added Minola.

Regarding the issue of unpaid school fees, Minola emphasized that the public should not only view it from one perspective. He reminded everyone of the substantial living expenses that Ruben has borne all this time, which amount to a very fantastic sum.

"But if there are things like this that keep coming up, it doesn't align with what was said about not questioning it, but then we createthings like this that tear apart Ruben's dignity as if it is ignored, that includes the 225 million per month which also covers meal money, you know," Minola stated.

Minola also briefly mentioned the apology request from Sarwendah's lawyer regarding the alleged violation of the attorney code of ethics. He accepted the apology but hoped that there would be no further unnecessary pressure in this case.

"I accept his apology. Indeed, no human is perfect, no one is free from mistakes. But if it is then said that it is a threat, as a pressure, we need to revisit this together to listen or interpret," he said.

Finally, Minola Sebayang invited Sarwendah to sit together in a familial manner rather than continue to feud in the media. He wants this issue to be resolved quickly for the peace of Ruben and the mental development of the children. "Let's look at this in the context of the agreement deed, the context of the communication. Let's not engage in rhetorical words. Let’s sit together to find the solution," Minola urged.
