According to Chris Sam Siwu, their main goal in bringing up the issue of debt collectors to the media is purely to protect their clients from terror and fear.
However, he regrets the response from the other side, represented by Minola Sebayang, who instead discusses issues related to children, alimony, and letters of objection.
"So, once again, we will present everything based on facts. So, we are not talking about wishes, we are talking based on facts. Well, first of all, I am actually confused because in what we conveyed to the media friends, yes, regarding debt collectors, this was immediately responded to with news about other matters outside of debt collectors," said Chris Sam Siwu in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (19/11/2025).
The Sarwendah party feels that the debt collector issue is deliberately being diverted to cover up the main issue they actually want to convey, which is to provide a sense of security for Sarwendah.
"We were shocked, honestly, with all humility, yes, we were shocked, at the moment we talked about the debt collector, Bang Minola might have immediately brought up things outside of that. Yes, the first issue is about the children, the second issue is about alimony, the third issue is that there is also an objection letter from us," he said.
Chris emphasized that there is no intention whatsoever from their side to corner Ruben Onsu.
Discussions about other issues did indeed occur in a private meeting between lawyers, but they did not expect that such matters would become public consumption.
"My conversation with Bang Minola in a meeting did discuss those other matters. But we did not know that it would eventually be consumed as public consumption like this. Yes, but since it has been discussed, we conveyed it," explained Chris.
