Slank Calls Abdee Negara a Guinea Pig for New Technology from Japanese Professor for Research

Kapanlagi.com - Musician and guitarist of Slank, Abdee Negara has returned home after undergoing intensive treatment due to an autoimmune disorder in his kidneys, IgA Nephropathy (IgAN). This Slank guitarist was hospitalized since September 18, 2024, and his condition has started to improve.

Bimbim Slank stated that Abdee's condition is continuously improving. The 55-year-old guitarist is currently focusing on recovery at home. However, Abdee still needs to undergo dialysis every two weeks.

"Alhamdulillah Abdee is now on outpatient care, but he has to undergo dialysis every two weeks," said Bimbim Slank when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/2024).

1. Innovative Technology

Abdee is referred to as the first patient in the study of a new treatment method. According to Bimbim, this treatment uses innovative technology from a professor from Japan.

"Alhamdulillah there is a professor from Japan who is researching, one of them is Abdee who became a patient, in a sense a guinea pig, but alhamdulillah it seems successful. If this treatment succeeds, it could be revolutionary, let’s just pray for it," explained Bimbim.

2. Abdee the First Patient

Meanwhile, Kaka, the vocalist of Slank, revealed that Abdee does not mind being part of this research. He even described Abdee as a very brave person.

"So there is a new treatment, a new technology created by a Chinese American. Let's try it on this patient number one in the world, Abdee," said Kaka.

"I said, wow this is truly brave of him. I asked him, are you brave? He said just try it," Kaka continued, then laughed.
