Swollen Face Suspected Due to Malpractice, Frederika Cull Visits the Police Station

Kapanlagi.com - Puteri Indonesia 2019 Frederika Cull accompanied by her legal counsel visited the South Jakarta Metro Police on Monday (15/3/2021). Frederika's visit is to follow up on her report against a beauty clinic suspected of malpractice towards her.

"There are several technical aspects that we have prepared to escalate our report to investigation," said one of Frederika's legal counsel, Agustinus Nahak, SH, at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

1. Experience Side Effects

According to Frederika, the malpractice incident she experienced occurred around November 2020. At that time, she received a collaboration offer from a beauty clinic located in South Jakarta. After a few hours of treatment, Frederika admitted to experiencing extreme pain and swelling on her face.

"That night I experienced pain, my face felt like it was burning, I couldn't sleep. That night, the pain was so intense that I couldn't close my eyes, my face was swollen, my jaw was swollen, my eyes were swollen," she said.

2. Feeling Victimized

Frederika admitted that she experienced pain on her face for a month. Because of this incident, she suffered a lot of losses.

"I experienced pain for a whole month and had to take time off work until I was afraid that my face would not return to normal, especially as Miss Indonesia, my face is my asset. During that month, I was very sad to the point that I had to see a specialist, spend money, but the clinic did not take responsibility for what they had done," she said.

"They (the accused) only sent a doctor to my house, but I was afraid that my child would get worse. They should have said 'we will cover your medical expenses wherever you choose to get treatment,' that's how it should have been," added Frederika's mother, Yulia Peers.

3. Report to the Police

Unacceptable, Frederika reported the incident she experienced to the South Jakarta Metro Police on December 19, 2020. She reported the clinic under Article 62 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.

"Currently, we have only reported one article, but we are preparing other articles related to the material and physical losses experienced by our client," said Sunan Kalijaga, another legal representative of Frederika.
