The Body of Ricky Siahaan is Still Undergoing Autopsy, His Wife Flies to Tokyo

Kapanlagi.com - The body of guitarist Seringai, Ricky Siahaan, is still in Tokyo, Japan, after passing away following a concert. An autopsy is currently being conducted as part of local procedures regarding the death of a foreign national.

The manager of Seringai, Wendi, confirmed that Ricky's wife has already departed for Tokyo. Her presence there is to manage the process of repatriating the body.

"Only the widow of the deceased has followed to Tokyo, arriving yesterday afternoon in Tokyo," Wendi said in a text message to reporters on Monday (21/4/2025).

1. Seringai Personnel Wait for Ricky's Body in Japan

Meanwhile, several band crew members are scheduled to return to Indonesia today. However, the other three Seringai personnel chose to stay with Ricky's family in Japan.

"Today, the first to return to the homeland will be three crew members and the band's equipment. All band members will remain in Tokyo to accompany the late's wife," said Wendi.

Wendi explained that the body will only arrive in the homeland in the coming days. There are several administrative steps that must be fulfilled before the body can be sent off.

"After the autopsy and clearance process are completed. In Japan, the procedures are quite strict if a foreign national dies," he said.

2. Ricky's Death

Ricky Siahaan took his last breath on Saturday (April 19, 2025), after performing at the closing concert of Seringai's tour in Tokyo. The concert became his final stage with the band he formed since 2002.

"Our guitarist, our friend, our brother, Ricky, has passed away suddenly after finishing his set at our tour closing in Tokyo, Japan. Ricky left this world doing something he loved: playing loud music to the fullest," wrote the band.
