Syahrini became the center of attention after claiming to have received a prestigious award in her social media post. However, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, which was mentioned as having given the award to Syahrini, clarified that it was not involved in the awarding process.

"UNESCO is not involved in the awarding at the event in Cannes mentioned. Although the event may involve UNESCO Artist for Peace in a personal or symbolic capacity, it is not an official ceremony or form of recognition from UNESCO," quoted KapanLagi.com via detikcom, Thursday (22/5/2025).

Previously, Reino Barack's wife mentioned that her arrival in Cannes was to receive an award from UNESCO. "I came to Cannes to receive a Prestigious & Extraordinary Award from UNESCO through the event 'Listen To Her Parole'," wrote Syahrini in a post on Saturday (17/5).

Senior actress Christine Hakim provided her explanation regarding Syahrini's arrival. She stated that Syahrini was there to receive an award from the United Society Council.

"(Syahrini attended the event) Listen to Her Parole, Syahrini received an award from the United Society Council, which is a foundation that collaborates with Hermes. They select public figures from around the world to receive the women empowerment award. This year, Syahrini is the recipient, which is a great pride," explained Christine Hakim on Wednesday (21/5/2025).

The United Society Council (USC) itself is an independent organization based in Dublin, Ireland. This institution focuses on women's empowerment, promoting gender equality, and celebrating individual achievements in various fields.

If we look at the award trophy received by Syahrini, it indeed has the inscription UNESCO: Guila Clara Kessous. This inscription is suspected to be the cause of misunderstandings regarding the legitimacy of the award received by Syahrini.

In fact, Guila is a recipient of the UNESCO award as an Artist for Peace. Guila is an artist and academic from France known for her dedication to promoting human rights through art, thus receiving the award from the organization under the United Nations (UN).

The award received by Syahrini was given at the Listen to Her Parole event organized by Discrete Magazine and supported by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

The Listen to Her Parole event was indeed attended by several important and influential figures. However, the fact that the event is supported by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation does not automatically make the award given a representation or official recognition from UNESCO
