The DKI Prosecutor's Office Re-examines the Case File of Nikita Mirzani, No New Suspects Yet

Kapanlagi.com - The legal journey involving artist Nikita Mirzani and her assistant, Mail Syahputra, has not yet reached its conclusion. The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office continues to monitor the handling process of the case reported by Dr. Reza Gladys.

The Head of Legal Information Section of the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Syahron Hasibuan, explained the latest developments regarding the case file. He emphasized that the status of the case file had previously entered the P19 stage and is now back in the hands of the Public Prosecutor.

"So far, the case file was initially, if I'm not mistaken, around March 17, already at P19 from the Public Prosecutor to be fulfilled by the investigative team," said Syahron at his office on Wednesday (14/5/2025).

1. Complete the Requested Instructions

Since the P19 was submitted, the investigators were given time to complete a number of instructions requested by the prosecutor. After nearly two months, the file was only returned on May 5th.

"Well, since that time, starting around May 5th, it was returned again by the investigators to the Public Prosecutor, and subsequently, the Public Prosecutor conducted a re-examination to study whether the instructions or coordination previously provided were fulfilled or not," he said.

2. Currently Being Reviewed by the Prosecutor

Syahron revealed that currently the prosecutor is studying the completeness of the instructions. This process takes a maximum of 14 working days after the file is received back.

"Well, from Monday until 14 days from now, the Public Prosecutor will determine their stance on whether the material presented in the previous P19 file is fulfilled or not," he said.

3. Complete Dozens of Instructions

The requested instructions are not just one or two, but quite a few and rather complicated to complete. Therefore, the public prosecutor still needs time for the process to be accurate and thorough.

"March 17 is P19, which means there are several items among the 10 or dozens of instructions that must be fulfilled by the investigator," explained Syahron.

4. Possibility of New Suspects

Regarding the possibility of new suspects in this case, Syahron emphasized that it is not within the prosecutor's domain. However, the High Prosecutor's Office is still waiting for the results of the investigation and inquiry in full.

"That is the investigator's domain, as far as we know, we will wait for it to be studied, and once it is complete, we will inform our friends so that it can also be known online, we will publish it soon," he said.

5. Trial Stage

After the file is declared complete or P21, the prosecutor will begin to draft the indictment. The legal process will soon enter the trial stage.

"Next, the public prosecutor, once it is P21, will certainly start drafting the indictment to be submitted to the court to request the defendant's punishment," said Syahron.
