A new chapter in the case of the alleged sexual assault of a minor involving Lolly's boyfriend, Vadel Badjideh, has finally reached the indictment stage. In the online trial, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) demanded a very heavy sentence for Vadel.

The continuation of the trial held at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (01/9/2025) is a crucial moment in the case that has implicated the name of Nikita Mirzani's eldest daughter, Laura Meizani alias Lolly, as the victim.

The news regarding this serious charge was directly confirmed by the Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Rio Barten.

"Today, the South Jakarta District Court has held a trial for the case against Vadel," said Rio Barten when met at his office.

This trial had to be held online. Rio explained that this decision was made as a precaution given the security situation in Jakarta, which is not yet fully conducive due to a series of demonstration actions.

"And the trial is conducted online. This is related to the policy that the South Jakarta District Court will hold criminal trials online from September 1 to September 4 due to the current situation and conditions in Jakarta," he explained.

In its indictment, the prosecutor did not provide any leniency. Vadel Badjideh is charged with a prison sentence of 12 years and a hefty fine.

"The hearing earlier has conveyed the indictment; the prosecutor has submitted the indictment. A sentence of 12 years, a fine of Rp1 billion. If the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with a 6-month imprisonment," emphasized Rio Barten.

This heavy charge is a severe blow to Vadel Badjideh. Now, the legal process will continue to the defense stage or plea from the defendant.

"The next agenda is that the hearing has been postponed for 1 week for the defendant's defense presentation," he concluded.
