Vape Case Suspected of Containing Hard Drugs Uncovered at Soetta Airport, Artist JF Examined as Witness

Kapanlagi.com - The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police (Soetta) and Soekarno Hatta Customs have uncovered a case of unlicensed pharmaceutical products in the form of a vape that contains etomidate or hard drugs.

The Soetta Airport Police Chief Kombes Pol Ronald Sipayung stated that in this alleged violation of the Health Law, they have secured three individuals.

According to the 2002 graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol), the three individuals who have been named suspects are two men with the initials BTR and EDS, and one woman with the initials ER.

"As for the public figure with the initials JF, their status is still as a witness and they have been examined once. In the second examination, the individual claimed to be ill," said Ronald in his statement in Tangerang, Banten, Monday (28/4).

1. Vape Contains Hard Drugs

Anti-Narcotics Unit Chief AKP Michael Tandayu added that the case was revealed in March 2025 after his team, along with Customs at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, secured vapes containing the hard drug type etomidate brought in from abroad.

Following up on this matter, Michael continued, members of the Narcotics Unit of the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police and personnel from Soekarno Hatta Customs immediately conducted further investigations, leading to the arrest of three suspects with the initials BTR, EDS, and ER in several areas.

"The three individuals who have been named suspects are currently detained at the State Detention Center (Rutan) of the Soekarno-Hatta Police," explained Michael.

2. JF Becomes a Witness

According to Michael, based on the development of the investigation, the investigators still need testimony from JF, and an examination has been conducted as a witness. However, during the second summons, JF claimed to be ill.

"And is still being treated at the Hospital, JF has not yet complied with the second summons from the investigators.," asserted Michael.

For their actions, the three suspects BTR, EDS, and ER are charged under Article 435 subsidiary to Article 436 paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning health in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
