Chronology of Ricky Siahaan's Passing in Japan, No Signs of Fatigue - Second Heart Attack

Kapanlagi.com - The passing of Ricky Siahaan, guitarist of the band Seringai, is a deep sorrow for family, friends, and metal music fans in the homeland. Ricky's departure happened suddenly amidst the busy schedule of Seringai's Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025.

Ricky took his last breath on Saturday night, April 19, 2025, at 21:30 Tokyo time. He passed away right after completing Seringai's final performance in their Asia tour.

"Our late guitarist Ricky Siahaan passed away on April 19 at 21:30 Tokyo time at the Walside venue, the last location of Seringai's tour which started on April 10 and ended on April 21, 2025," said Wendi Putranto, Seringai's manager, when met at the Sentosa Funeral Home, Central Jakarta, Thursday (24/5/2025).

1. Sudden and Unexpected Incident

Seringai performed five shows during the Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025, with three concerts in Taiwan and two in Tokyo. Ricky was known to be in great shape until the last moment before the incident occurred.

"So the deceased had just completed the last show, which was the closing show of Seringai's tour in Japan," he said.

The incident happened very quickly and unexpectedly. Ricky collapsed backstage just a few minutes after leaving the stage.

"On that Saturday night, when the incident occurred, he collapsed backstage. The deceased received first aid from the promoter's team," said Wendi.

"Our promoter is indeed a doctor, and he was the one who attempted to save Ricky backstage," Wendi clarified.

As soon as the ambulance arrived, Ricky was rushed to the hospital. However, fate had other plans. He was declared dead shortly after arriving at the medical facility.

"Then after the ambulance arrived, Ricky was evacuated to the hospital and was declared dead at 21:30 Tokyo time," Wendi said.

2. Second Heart Attack

Wendy himself did not join the Seringai tour to Japan. However, he received news from the band members just moments after Ricky took his last breath.

"The news was also conveyed to me by the drummer. Coincidentally, I did not join this tour and I got the news 10 minutes after Ricky's passing," he revealed.

Ricky's health condition before departure was reported to be in excellent shape. There were no significant signs of illness or fatigue.

"So indeed, before departing, there were no health problems; the deceased was healthy and very much enjoying this tour," said Wendy.

However, Wendy also revealed that Ricky had suffered a heart attack in 2014 and had two stents placed. Since then, there had been no significant symptoms, making his collapse backstage a huge surprise.

"This is the second heart attack; the first one was a long time ago, in 2014. After the first attack, he had two stents placed. After that, there was nothing else," he concluded.
