Vicky Prasetyo is Free and Becomes a City Prisoner, Legal Counsel: He is the Backbone of the Family

Vicky will become a city prisoner after his request for detention suspension has been granted by the judges of the South Jakarta District Court.

In the detention suspension letter, one of the reasons Vicky Prasetyo was granted is because he is the backbone of the family. Ramdan Alamsyah, as the legal counsel, also stated another reason, namely that his client will not tamper with evidence and Vicky Prasetyo is also mentioned to always be cooperative.

"The reasons are normative and the most important one is (Vicky Prasetyo) is the backbone of the family," said Ramdan Alamsyah when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (16/9).

1. Vicky Prasetyo's Work Hindered

Vicky Prasetyo has been detained at Salemba Detention Center, Central Jakarta, since undergoing a trial for alleged defamation against Angel Lelga, his ex-wife. As a result, many of Vicky Prasetyo's work has been hindered.

"We only request the judge's discretion for a suspension so that (Vicky Prasetyo) can still support his family, because he is the backbone of the family," said Ramdan.

2. Unable to Provide Alimony

Until now, his legal team is still trying to complete the administrative requirements at the South Jakarta District Court. Currently, the family is reportedly heading to Salemba Detention Center from the South Jakarta District Court after completing the administration.

After four months of imprisonment at Salemba Detention Center, Ramdan Alamsyah stated that the suspension of his client's detention has been granted and Vicky will soon be released and become a city detainee. It is known that Vicky Prasetyo has applied for a suspension of detention on the grounds of being the backbone of the family because he cannot provide for his children while being detained in the detention center.
