Becoming Defendant in Drug Case, Prosecutor Demands Lucinta Luna to be Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison and Fined Rp25 Million

Kapanlagi.com - The defendant of drug abuse, Lucinta Luna, has been demanded by the Public Prosecutor to be sentenced to 3 years in prison and fined Rp.25 million or six months of imprisonment as subsidiary punishment.

The JPU considered Lucinta Luna guilty of abusing Class I narcotics that are not plant-based for herself and receiving the distribution of psychotropic substances.

The demand against the defendant Lucinta Luna was read by the JPU during the trial at the West Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

"In their demand, the JPU requested the Honorable Judges to impose a 3-year prison sentence and a fine of Rp.25 million or six months of imprisonment as subsidiary punishment for the defendant Lucinta," said Eko Aryanto, Spokesperson of the West Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (2/9/2020).

1. Evidence of 2 Ecstasy Pills and 7 Riklona Pills

As known, Lucinta Luna was arrested in her apartment and designated as a suspect of drug abuse by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit, on February 11th.

From the arrest, the police confiscated 2 ecstasy pills and 7 Riklona pills as evidence. After a hair test, Lucinta Luna tested positive for amphetamines.

Lucinta Luna is charged with violating Article 112 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics for the possession of ecstasy found in her apartment.

In addition, regarding the possession and abuse of the psychotropic drug Riklona, Lucinta Luna is charged with Article 60 and 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropic Drugs.

During the trial, Lucinta Luna admitted to the possession of Riklona. However, she firmly denies the possession of ecstasy found by the police in the trash can of her residence. However, in the police report, Lucinta Luna admitted that the ecstasy belonged to her.
