Nazar When 'MEKAH I'M COMING' Box Office, Hanung Bramantyo Sends Umrah for Fraud Victims

Kapanlagi.com - Hanung Bramantyo produces a satirical comedy MEKAH I'M COMING starring Rizky Nazar and Michelle Ziudith. When the project was first conceived, Hanung and Jeihan Angga as the director made a vow.

The vow is to send umrah for the victims of hajj travel fraud. This is in line with the film's story about a young man who becomes a victim when he wants to perform the hajj.

"When we first made this film, Jeihan and I vowed that if it reaches one million viewers, we will at least be able to go for umrah with them. Hajj is not possible because there is a long queue. So the most we can do is to go for umrah with the victims of unprofessional travel," said Hanung when met at CGV Cinemas Grand Indonesia, Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/2/2020).

1. Depends on the Number of Audience

Of course, Hanung Bramantyo and Jeihan Angga are well aware that anything can happen regarding the number of audience. That's why they will sponsor umrah for a few people depending on the final result.

"The number of people depends on the number of audience, ha ha ha. Surely not just one person, but whether it's five or six depends on the final result. I'm not aiming for two or three million, not that much. At least this film is a box office. Because we bring something new, have a good mission," explained Zaskia Adya Mecca's husband.

2. Requirements for Departing Umrah

Hanung Bramantyo and Jeihan Angga have requirements for the people who will be sponsored for umrah. They are elderly victims of hajj travel scams from distant regions.

"There are many victims from all over Indonesia. Some are from Sumatra, Papua, but we choose the elderly. That's the top priority. Because it would be extremely sad for those who have hoped and saved but got scammed. We have found the people, but we will hold on first, wait for this film to be released," said Hanung.
