Mayor of Bontang Invites All OPDs to Maximize Digital Aspects

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, all human resources in the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) within the Bontang City Government received instructions from the Mayor of Bontang, Basri Rase. OPDs were emphasized to maximize the digital aspects in order to accelerate and improve the administration and bureaucracy of the government.

"They must truly understand and utilize the current technological era. Because it is a necessity and we have entered the 4.0 digital industry," he said in his speech at the Technical Guidance on Digital Leadership Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) at AONE Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/25/2023).

In order to realize competent human resources in the digital era, the Bontang City Government held a technical guidance on Digital Leadership Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) in Jakarta for two days, from October 25-27, 2023.

According to Basri, "Currently, we are not facing each other face to face, but through computerized systems. Events like this, if possible, should be conducted continuously because the digital industry works quickly and we must be brave enough to undergo transformation so as not to be left behind. We don't stop here, but our human resources are also taught about language, because English is widely used now."

1. Encourage OPD to Understand All Digital Instruments

In the same occasion, Deputy Mayor of Bontang, Najirah also invited all OPDs in the Bontang City Government environment to understand all digital instruments used.

"Certainly with the increasingly modern era using digital, all OPDs in the Bontang City Government environment must understand all digital instruments used," he said.

According to Najirah, "Digital infrastructure is not yet optimal, therefore, with the technical guidance held, all officials in the Bontang City Government will obtain uniform knowledge to carry out digitalization."

2. Budget Allocation Related to SPBE-based Digitalization

Meanwhile, Head of the Planning, Research, and Development Agency of Bontang City, Amiruddin, ensures that the budget allocation related to digitalization in Bontang City is based on the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

According to Amiruddin, "What is clear is that it will definitely receive a portion because it is part of the vision and mission of the mayor of Bontang, through a smart and sustainable Bontang City. Of course, related to digitalization including governance, everything must be based on SPBE."

"We hope that in the future, all Bontang activities, especially public services, will be based on electronic. Therefore, digital leadership is something that needs to be continued, not only for the heads, but also at a lower level, we implement," he explained.

In addition, Head of the Financial and Asset Management Agency of Bontang City, Sony Suwito Adicahyono, revealed that from the budgeting side, they fully support all activities of the departments related to digitalization.

According to Sony, "From the budgeting side, we fully support all departments that propose budgets in improving their activities in the concept of digitalization, both in terms of facilities and infrastructure as well as the systems used to support their activities."
