Alleged Provocateur Caught With Molotov in Front of Malang City DPRD Office

Kapanlagi.com - An alleged provocateur was caught by residents carrying a Molotov cocktail on the road in front of the Malang City DPRD Office at around 19:30 WIB. Meanwhile, two other individuals managed to escape.

The Molotov, in the form of a mineral water bottle filled with pertalite, was briefly lit but was then noticed by the residents on guard. The end of the bottle was seen dented from the heat of the fire.

The perpetrator panicked and tried to flee. However, one suspect was successfully apprehended and taken to the Malang City Satpol PP Post.

1. Evidence of Gasoline

Havard Kurniawan Ramadan, a member of the Malang City Regional House of Representatives, recounted that the suspect was secured at the corner of Kertanegara Street near SMA 4 Malang City. Havard, who was inside the Council Building, went out to meet the crowd. The suspect was collectively taken to the Malang City Satpol PP Post.

"He has been secured, there is evidence of a bottle containing gasoline. When questioned, he could not answer. He has been taken to the Malang City Police Headquarters," explained the DPRD member from the PDI Perjuangan party.

2. Suspect's Phone Seized

In addition to the bottle containing pertalite, the suspect's mobile phone was also secured. Shortly after the suspect was interrogated at the Satpol PP Post, he was then placed in a vehicle from the Malang City Police Headquarters.

"The suspect's phone has been taken by the police. Let the officers open the data later," he asserted.

Currently, the situation has returned to normal, and security personnel from the TNI and Polri are on guard. Additionally, the community is also on alert to secure the location.
