The funeral of Bunda Iffet at TPU Karet Bivak, Saturday (27/4/2025), was marked by a deep atmosphere of mourning. One of the most emotional was Anang Hermansyah, who shed tears.

Speaking after the funeral, Anang expressed how difficult it was to articulate the magnitude of Bunda Iffet's contributions to his life. He mentioned that he felt he had not yet had the chance to repay her kindness.

"It’s hard to comprehend how great what she has given is. I haven't been able to repay anything because without her, Anang left Jember with no one, but she welcomed me saying 'just stay here' let's work together as long as you want to join, together building the dreams of Potlot, the dreams of Slank," Anang stated at TPU Karet Bivak, Saturday (27/4/2025).

According to Anang, Bunda Iffet and the Potlot family opened their doors wide for anyone who wants to struggle in the music world. He remembers that this spirit was taught from the very first time he joined.

"That is an extraordinary thing, especially Mas Bimbim and the other siblings at Potlot, they opened themselves up to anyone who indeed has the dream of this profession to thrive in Indonesia," Anang said.

Mother Iffet, Anang said, not only provided a place and moral support, but also instilled a spirit of nationalism. He feels that Mother Iffet's message about the importance of Indonesian culture is still very impactful to this day.

"Because she was the one who taught me that, 'Nang, your country is the country with the most cultures, that's why you must fight here with your other brothers and sisters.' Therefore, my hope is that Mother Iffet's ideals continue to be developed, and friends all over Indonesia who feel part of Potlot continue to unite together because fighting for Mother Iffet's ideals is important for the future of the Indonesian music industry," Anang said.

Simple but meaningful memories are also remembered by Anang every time he meets Mother Iffet. He mentioned that Mother Iffet's attention was always focused on the condition of the family and his struggles in life.

"Mom, when I go to Potlot, I’m only asked, 'Are you healthy? How is your family? How is your struggle? And don’t forget your other siblings.' She’s amazing," said Anang.

For Anang, the greatest strength of Mom Iffet lies in her belief in Slank and the Potlot community. He believes that the success of Slank standing until today is proof of the strength of that belief.

"Mom’s strength is in believing that Slank will become a great band despite all the difficult journeys of life. Slank standing until today is the strength of a Mom Iffet, her belief that what the Potlot community has given will contribute to the Indonesian music industry, her conviction," Anang said.

Not only that, Anang added that until the end of her life, Bunda Iffet remained loyal in supporting Slank and the Potlot community. For her, that spirit is a valuable legacy to continue.

"For me, and for my friends in Potlot, they will definitely agree with that, because she really kept supporting Slank until the end of her life, continued to manage Slank, remained active, and stayed busy with Slank and Potlot events. That shows how concerned she was about this profession," concluded Anang.
