Bimbim Reveals the Chronology of Bunda Iffet's Passing, Was Taken to the Hospital Because She Didn't Wake Up

The body of Bunda Iffet was just buried at TPU Karet Bivak, Central Jakarta, Sunday (27/4/2025). After the burial ceremony, Bimbim Slank explained the chronology of his mother's passing.

According to Bimbim, Bunda Iffet took her last breath the night before. He revealed that his mother passed away around 22:42 WIB.

"Yes, Bunda passed away last night at 22:42 WIB. After Monday morning arrived, she went to sleep and didn't wake up. Usually, around 8-9 she would be in a wheelchair next door to sunbathe, but this time she didn't wake up," said Bimbim at TPU Karet Bivak, Central Jakarta, Sunday (27/4/2025).

When seeing the condition, the family decided to take Bunda Iffet to the hospital. There, Bunda Iffet showed signs of improvement that made the family feel relieved for a moment.

"We were scared, so we finally took her to the hospital. The next day she woke up chatting, telling stories, calling everyone, laughing. The hospital doctor evaluated why," said Bimbim.

However, that condition did not last long because after a few days of treatment, Bunda Iffet's health deteriorated again. Bimbim stated that on the sixth day, his mother had to be treated in the HCU room.

"Actually, on the second day there was nothing wrong, but by the sixth day, she had to go into the ICU. Two days prior, she had already asked to go home. In the end, we discussed it, and decided to let her go home, according to the doctor," said Bimbim.

Bimbim revealed that there was a great risk in the decision to bring his mother home from the hospital. Nevertheless, the family fulfilled Bunda Iffet's wish to spend time at home.

"What can I say, the risk might not make it to the house. But Bunda held on there, as she wanted, until she got home, there were still 2 hours to say goodbye before she passed away," said Bimbim.

When asked about the medical history, Bimbim emphasized that Bunda Iffet did not have any serious illnesses. According to him, the changes in health condition were more due to age factors.

"No, not really. The medical history of the parents, sometimes blood sugar rises, sometimes high blood pressure. At the age of 87, right? Well, even after passing away, she still wanted to organize things, we have to use this, we don’t know anything, suddenly got a uniform that has to be worn, that’s just Bunda," concluded Bimbim.
