Being the Reported Party in the Alleged Threat Case, Jakarta Metro Police Will Determine Jerinx SID's Status This Week

Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta Metro Police investigators continue to deepen their investigation into the alleged threat case committed by Jerinx SID against social media activist Adam Deni. It is planned that this weekend, the investigators will conduct a case review to determine Jerinx's status, whether he will be named a suspect or not.

"God willing, on Friday or Saturday, we will conduct a case review to determine whether Jerinx's status will be elevated to a suspect," said Chief of Public Relations of Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Pol. Yusri Yunus, in Jakarta on Monday (8/2/2021).

Before conducting the case review, the investigators will first examine several experts related to the case.

"These include language experts, criminal experts, IT experts, and other expert witnesses deemed necessary by the investigators. Hopefully, the examination of witnesses can proceed smoothly," said Yusri.

1. Threatening

The feud between Adam Deni and the drummer of the band Superman Is Dead started when Adam commented on Jerinx's Instagram account. Adam asked Jerinx to provide evidence of the list of Indonesian artists who were accused of receiving endorsements and admitting to being exposed to Covid-19.

Instead of getting an answer, Adam was scolded by Jerinx. In fact, Jerinx accused Adam of being the mastermind behind the disappearance of his Instagram account. Furthermore, Adam claimed to have received insults and threats from Jerinx over the phone.

Not accepting it, Adam reported Jerinx to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police with charges of threat with violence according to Article 335 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45B of the Indonesian Law No. 19 of 2016.

After filing the report, Jerinx apologized for his actions. However, Adam Deni refused to withdraw his complaint.

2. Nora Alexandra Dragged In

On the other hand, Nora Alexandra, Jerinx's wife, was also dragged into the alleged threat case involving her husband against social media activist Adam Deni. Nora had to undergo questioning as a witness.

"The investigators have examined Mr. J in Denpasar as a witness and seized evidence in the form of a mobile phone, and there was an addition including the wife of Mr. J, whom we also questioned," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol. Yusri Yunus, in Jakarta on Monday (8/2/2021).

According to Yusri, the questioning of Nora Alexandra was conducted because when Jerinx allegedly threatened Adam Deni, he used his wife's phone.

"Mr. J used his wife's phone when threatening the complainant, so we need to question Mr. J's wife as a witness," he explained.
