After being placed in Salemba Prison, Central Jakarta in March 2024, the father of two apparently started to improve himself. Now, Ammar Zoni is starting to look neat again.

This was evident during the trial of a drug abuse case at the West Jakarta District Court. Ammar Zoni appeared virtually from Salemba Detention Center, Central Jakarta.
"If we look at it via zoom, we can see that he has started to tidy himself up," said Jon Mathias, Ammar Zoni's legal counsel after the trial on Monday (20/5/2024).
Ammar Zoni's weight, which had increased rapidly while being held at the West Jakarta Metro Police, has now started to decrease. Jon said that Ammar Zoni has started to exercise regularly.
"And during our meeting, he has started to exercise. His weight has already decreased, we can see it via zoom," said Jon.
In addition, Jon said that Ammar Zoni has been diligent in worship even when he was still a police detainee, and this has not wavered even after being transferred to Salemba Detention Center.
"Yes, Ammar is indeed exercising more, and he is also more diligent in worship," he explained.
Jon assessed that the changes shown by his client were indeed quite drastic compared to before. Of course, it has a positive impact on Ammar Zoni himself.
"So the changes are very drastic, including paying attention to himself for himself," he concluded.
As a reminder, Ammar Zoni has been involved in drug cases three times. Most recently, he was apprehended by the Narcotics Detective Unit of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police in an apartment in the BSD area, South Tangerang, on December 12, 2023.
After being apprehended, the police managed to seize four packages of crystal methamphetamine and one package of marijuana as evidence. Currently, the case is being prosecuted in the West Jakarta District Court.
