Grant Custody to Sarwendah, Ruben Onsu Will Continue to Provide Support and Education Costs for His Three Children

Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu has officially divorced Sarwendah Tan after building a household for more than ten years. The South Jakarta District Court issued the ruling through e-court on Tuesday (24/9/2024).

The cause of the divorce was continuous disputes due to differences in priorities. Not wanting to hurt each other and affect the children, it was ultimately agreed that separation was the best way forward.

"The divorce ruling has been issued through e-court which essentially accepts the plaintiff's lawsuit and grants all the plaintiff's requests and dissolves the marriage of the plaintiff and his wife. If there is no appeal, the divorce certificate can be obtained," said Minola Sebayang, as the legal representative of Ruben, quoted from a Zoom interview.

1. Murni Just Wants a Divorce

The contents of the divorce petition filed by Ruben Onsu are purely about wanting to separate. Meanwhile, matters regarding property and child custody have been resolved personally outside of court.

"Our lawsuit is purely about the divorce decision. The issue of the children has been resolved personally with Sarwendah outside of court," said Minola Sebayang.

2. Continues to Support the Three Children

In the personal resolution, it was revealed that Ruben Onsu granted custody of Betrand, Thalia, and Tania to Sarwendah. Nevertheless, Ruben continues to provide support and requests that there are no restrictions on visiting his children.

"It has been discussed personally with the children and their mother. Ruben agrees to take full responsibility for the support and educational expenses of the children. Ruben requests to be given time to gather with his children, such as on weekends or when he is not working," concluded Minola Sebayang.
