Not Tempted by Trends, Manohara Still Wears Pants Bought in 2010 to Apply a Minimalist Lifestyle

Kapanlagi.com - The minimalist lifestyle has recently become a trend among the public. However, for Manohara Odelia Pino, this principle has been applied for a long time and is not just about following a popular lifestyle.

Manohara admits she has never felt the need to follow fashion trends or buy the latest items just to appear trendy. As long as an item is still usable, she chooses to keep wearing it.

"It just happens to be a trend now, minimalist living, but actually I've been like that for a long time, I'm not the type to follow trends. So I'm not the type of person who feels the need to buy a new model bag or new clothes when they come out, or for example, if there are new accessories, I don't have to buy them," said Manohara when met in the Senayan area on Sunday (5/7/2026).

This principle is also applied in her choice of clothing. Manohara prefers classic and timeless outfits so that they remain relevant to wear even after being stored for years. In fact, one of the pants she wore during the interview was a collection she bought more than a decade ago.

"For example, maybe the outfit I'm wearing now, these pants I bought in 2010 or 2011, if they are still wearable, then why not. Coincidentally, my taste is also more towards classic timeless, so it doesn't go up and down with trends, it always looks good," she said.

1. Not Following Trends

Manohara also clarified the assumption that she has a large collection of luxury bags and shoes. She admitted to being very selective when purchasing fashion items and only buys things that she truly likes and can use in the long term.

"It's not a lot, it's probably a misconception that I have a lot of bags and shoes, that's not true at all. And yes, but that doesn't mean I never buy new stuff, I just make sure that when I buy it, I really like it and can wear it repeatedly," explained Manohara.

2. More Interested in Timeless Designs

When deciding to buy new clothes, Manohara always considers whether the model will still look appealing in a few years. For her, quality and timeless design are far more important than just following rapidly changing trends.

"I just bought something, but that's it, I see this is really a timeless model that won't fluctuate with trends, that can still be worn 10 years later and will still look good," concluded Manohara.
