Fariz RM Caught with Drugs
Musician Fariz RM is back in court for a follow-up hearing in the case of alleged possession and abuse of narcotics at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (10/7/2025). This hearing is scheduled to hear testimony from expert witnesses presented by his legal team.
Upon arriving at the courthouse, Fariz RM showed his mental readiness to face the ongoing legal process.
Fariz RM stated that he fully submits the decision regarding the possibility of rehabilitation to the applicable legal mechanisms, showing acceptance of all consequences. "Alhamdulillah, I'm healthy and ready. Yes, I leave everything to the legal process, whatever it is I accept," he said.
Deolipa Yumara, as Fariz RM's legal counsel, explained that her client has a very strong desire to fully recover and free himself from the clutches of drugs. Deolipa believes that Fariz RM has not yet achieved a hundred percent recovery from the rehabilitation he underwent previously.
"Yes, he really wants to recover. But the previous case was rehabilitation, and he hasn't recovered 100 percent yet. So he wants to be rehabilitated again," said Deolipa.
Furthermore, Deolipa Yumara also emphasized that Fariz RM's level of dependence on narcotics is quite high, so the recovery process will take a considerable amount of time. This indicates that recovery cannot be completed in just one rehabilitation session.
"Indeed, his dependence on narcotics is high. So, it cannot be just one rehabilitation session; it requires two to three times, even years," Deolipa stated.
With the hope of being free from drug dependence, Deolipa Yumara revealed that Fariz RM has a great ambition to return to active music and create new works. The passion for music still burns brightly in the singer of the song 'Sakura'.
"He will always be a musician and continue to create. That's why he wants to recover," concluded Deolipa Yumara.
