Umi Pipik Does Not Want to Rely on Apologies, Firmly Wants the Bullying Case to Be Legally Processed

Umi Pipik has decided to take legal action regarding the alleged bullying against her on social media. Although one of the perpetrators had previously apologized during clarification, she chose to file an official report to the Metro Jaya Police on Thursday (22/5/2025).

For Umi Pipik, an apology is not enough to stop the habit of mocking and insulting in the online world. She hopes that the legal process can serve as a lesson so that similar cases do not happen again. "This is a law-abiding country. The goal is to provide a lesson. If in the end, everyone just tweets, bullies, and then only meets to apologize, tomorrow it will happen again," Umi asserted.

She also emphasized that this step is taken as part of her rights as a citizen to receive legal protection against actions considered as bullying. "Yes, as a citizen, I have the right to report... against me, to me, so I came to file a report," she said.
