Nikita Mirzani Misses Her Children Deeply, Writes a Sweet Message to Them Amid the Appeal Process
This is the moment Nikita Mirzani expressed her longing for her children in the midst of the appeal process while still being incarcerated.
Kapanlagi.com - The online world was stirred by the circulation of a video featuring artist Nikita Mirzani seemingly conducting a live broadcast (live) from within the Pondok Bambu Detention Center in East Jakarta. In the video, Nikita is seen promoting beauty products with her colleague, which immediately sparked various public speculations.
In response to the uproar, the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights quickly provided clarification to correct the circulating information. The Ditjen PAS emphasized that the activity recorded in the video was not a live broadcast using a personal phone. Read other news about Nikita at Liputan6.com!
The Head of the Sub-Directorate for Cooperation of the Directorate General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti, explained that Nikita Mirzani is only utilizing the official communication facilities that are indeed provided by the detention center for all inmates.
"If we look at the video, it seems she is having a video call with her relatives," Rika said when contacted on Wednesday (12/11/2025).

The facility in question is the Special Telecommunication Shop for Corrections (Wartel Suspas). Rika emphasized that this facility is legal and is the right of every detainee to communicate with family or relatives outside.
"The use of mobile phones is available at Wartel Suspas. It is a communication facility provided to all inmates and detainees," Rika explained.
The existence of Suspas Wartel is part of the service standards in all prisons and detention centers in Indonesia. Its purpose is to fulfill the communication rights of inmates guaranteed by law, as long as its use does not violate applicable regulations.
"What is the communication right of all inmates according to the applicable provisions in that prison or detention center," she added.

Based on initial observations of the viral video, the Directorate General of Corrections concluded that there were no procedural violations committed by Nikita Mirzani. The video call activity was deemed to still be within the appropriate use of facilities and under the supervision of officers.
"So if we look at it, it’s not a live broadcast, but she is video calling with her relatives," said Rika.
The provision of centralized facilities such as Wartel Suspas is also a strategy to curb the circulation of illegal phones within the residential block. With the presence of officially supervised facilities, it is hoped that it can prevent the misuse of communication tools for criminal acts. Rika emphasized that Nikita is only exercising her rights.
"Because she is using the facilities from the detention center, in this case, the Pondok Bambu detention center, and that is also a right. It can be used by all inmates or detainees," she concluded.
