Working Again Amidst Grief, Ridwan Kamil Brings His Youngest Son to the Office - Swollen Eyes Becomes the Focus of Netizens

Kapanlagi.com - In the midst of grief that still envelops him, the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil returns to work. Today, Monday (6/6), the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil wore a black vest with a white shirt. He was also seen bringing his youngest son, Arkana to the Gedung Sate building in Bandung.

Quoting from Merdeka.com, Ridwan Kamil is scheduled to lead a Leadership Meeting in the environment of the West Java Provincial Government. Before that, Kang Emil greeted the media crew who had been waiting for him at Gedung Sate. 

Upon arriving at Gedung Sate, Ridwan Kamil asked his youngest son to wave to the journalists. He also answered some questions given by journalists about himself. 

"Alhamdulillah, I'm fine. Later, there will be a time when I will speak, yes," said Ridwan Kamil quoted from Merdeka.com, Monday (6/6).

Quoting from the Info Jawa Barat Instagram account, Ridwan Kamil is seen there starting to carry out his activities. He has also changed his uniform by wearing a brown shirt. 

In the photo, it is also seen that Ridwan Kamil has started giving directions to his subordinates.

"Congratulations on working and carrying out your duties again, Kang @ridwankamil. Kang @ridwankamil is scheduled to hold a Leadership Meeting in the West Java Provincial Government environment on his first day back to work after permission to go through what we all know," wrote the Info Jawa Barat Instagram account. 

"It is not easy to take a step, of course, returning to routines when something is no longer the same, something is missing, something is lost. Keep fighting, Kang. The prayers of the people of West Java accompany their leader," it continued.

The moment of Ridwan Kamil's return to the office has attracted a lot of attention and sympathy from the public, especially the online community. The photo uploaded earlier this morning was immediately filled with comments, support, and prayers for Kang Emil. 

On the other hand, many are focusing on Ridwan Kamil's eyes. From his eyes, netizens can clearly see that Ridwan Kamil is still feeling the deep sadness after the loss of his eldest son, Emmiril Ehan Eumtadz or Eril. 

"His eyes cannot lie," wrote the Instagram account @res***_14 

"We know this is not easy, Kang @ridwankamil. Only prayers can we offer to our beloved Governor, which will never fade away," said celebrity Dede Edun. 

3. Eril Goes Missing

As previously known, Emmiril Ehan Eumtadz was reported missing after being swept away while swimming in the Aare River, Switzerland on May 26, 2022. The incident occurred at 10:00 Swiss time.

Upon hearing the news, Ridwan Kamil immediately flew to Switzerland to join his family who were already there. For several hours, Ridwan Kamil also helped in the search for Eril.

However, unfortunately, during several days there, Ridwan Kamil and his family did not find any leads. On Thursday (6/2), Ridwan Kamil, along with his wife and daughter, had to return to Indonesia and hand over the search to the Indonesian Embassy in Bern and the family members who were in Switzerland. 

4. Farewell

Before returning to Indonesia, Ridwan Kamil's wife and Eril's mother, Atalia Praratya, said her farewell. Through an open letter on her personal Instagram, Atalia Praratya surrendered and entrusted her son to God.

"Ril, mama's going back to Indonesia. Mama entrusts you to the best care and protection from your true owner, Allah SWT. Wherever you are," Atalia wrote on her Instagram.

5. The Family Has Accepted

After a week of searching in the Aare River, Ridwan Kamil and his wife have surrendered and accepted the loss. Their son, Emmiril Ehan Eumtadz, was declared dead after being swept away by the Aare River on May 26, 2022.

Before returning to Indonesia, Ridwan Kamil recited the azan on the banks of the Aare River as a form of acceptance in letting go of his eldest son. He also performed a funeral prayer with family members and the Indonesian Embassy in Bern who were present at the Aare River.

Similarly, in Indonesia, after hearing the news of Eril's death, the West Java MUI urged all mosques in West Java to hold a funeral prayer.

6. Touching Message

Upon arriving in Indonesia, Ridwan Kamil uploaded a video with a touching message for his son who is now lost in the current.
