Miley Cyrus Opens Up About How She Deceived Her Accountant in Order to Buy Drugs: Referred to as 'Vintage Clothing'

Initially, Miley Cyrus talked about the mental state she experienced with each album release. When the discussion turned to the moments behind her 2015 album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, she disclosed the trick she used to keep this extreme activity a secret from her accountant.

"The biggest expense at that time was drugs, and to hide it from my accountant, we called it 'vintage clothing'. She would accept those checks. (It) often happened during tours," said the pop star.

Although transactions often go smoothly, Miley Cyrus notices the accountant's movements starting to raise suspicion about the purchase of 'vintage clothing' as time goes by. However, she always tries to make sure that the illegal actions appear normal in front of her.

One day, Miley Cyrus's personal accountant tried to inquire about the existence of the 'original John Lennon t-shirt' priced at 15 thousand dollars. He attempted to hide the truth by simply responding that the t-shirt indeed exists and is placed in the upstairs room.

"I said, 'We just want to protect it. The material is very fragile, it needs to be well cared for. So I bought a lot of vintage clothing that year.'" Miley added.

2. Admits to Occasionally Consuming Alcohol Again

The singer of the global hit Flowers admitted that she was tempted to drink alcohol again during the widespread Covid-19 pandemic. She shared this directly with Rolling Stone during an interview for the feature on the cover of the January 2021 issue of the magazine.

"(I) have not used drugs for years. Honestly, I never tried to be a fortune teller. I try not to (be) naive. Bad shit can happen. But right now, I can say, it seems like only a very cold day in hell will make me relapse again." She said.

3. Grateful to Have Successfully Overcome Addiction

Miley Cyrus is one of the celebrities who is open about her struggles to overcome drug addiction. In fact, the 1992-born singer stated that she is experiencing a "change" because she has just stopped using marijuana in an interview with Billboard in 2017.

"I haven't smoked marijuana for three weeks, that's the longest time I've ever gone (without marijuana). I don't use drugs, I don't drink alcohol, I'm really clean now! That was a decision I wanted to make for myself." She revealed.

Now, Miley Cyrus feels very grateful to have safely passed through those extreme phases. She also added that she does not recommend anyone to follow a similar dark path in their lives.
