'GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 3' Will Be Released in 2023

Kapanlagi.com - Through Disney's Investor Day, Marvel Studio confirmed that GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 3 will be released in 2023. With the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire world, Marvel rescheduled all of its films. Starting from BLACKWIDOW which was supposed to be released this year, it was postponed to 2021, including GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 3 which was initially planned for 2022 but is now postponed to 2023.

Nevertheless, director James Gunn has already finished the script for this space adventure film. With the postponement to 2023, James Gunn has plenty of time to perfect the film. Currently, James Gunn is busy with another film.

1. Pulled Back

James Gunn's appointment as the director of GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 3 went through a dramatic process. In 2018, he was fired by Disney due to his tweets containing sexual harassment and pedophilia.

Although those tweets were written long before he became the director of GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY, Disney felt that Gunn's tweets did not align with the company's values. Although James Gunn was eventually rehired because the actors wanted him back, and James Gunn has apologized to the public.

2.Busy Schedule

Both Marvel Studios and James Gunn are busy with various projects. The end of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has Marvel Studios preparing to introduce new superheroes into their films. Names such as THE ETERNALS, MS MARVEL, SHE-HULK, and other characters are being prepared to enter Phase 4 of the MCU.

James Gunn, who was previously fired by Disney, joined Warner Bros to work on the film THE SUICIDE SQUAD. He is still under contract until August 2021 to finish the film with Harley Quinn and others. The shooting for GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 3 is planned to begin at the end of 2021.
