The Plot of the Latest Marvel Film, 'SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF TEN RINGS Revealed

Kapanlagi.com - Heading towards Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios is trying to bring other superhero stories from Marvel comics. The Eternals, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Shang-Chi have been confirmed to be involved in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Especially Shang-Chi, who is inspired by the famous character Bruce Lee, is eagerly awaited by many Marvel fans.

Directed by Destin Cretton and starring Simu Liu and Awkwafina, SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS will also introduce the original Mandarin character played by Tony Leung. Previously, the Mandarin character appeared in the movie IRON MAN 3, but that character was a fake Mandarin.

1. Old Enemy, New Film

Through their website, Marvel stated that this film will tell the story of Shang-Chi, who must confront his past while facing the mysterious organization Ten Rings. Ten Rings has previously appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically in IRON MAN. In that film, Ten Rings kidnapped Tony Stark and Ho Yinsen and forced them to build weapons for Ten Rings.

But as we know, Tony Stark managed to escape and that incident became the beginning of Iron Man. After that, they sent one of their members, Ivan Vanko, to seek revenge in the movie IRON MAN 2. In the movie ANT MAN, this organization, consisting of people who speak Arabic, Mongolian, and Russian, tried to buy Pym Tech from Darren Cross. Afterwards, this organization works behind the scenes.

2. Ownership Constraints

In the comic, Shang-Chi must confront his evil father named Fu Manchu. Shang-Chi's martial arts abilities come from his father, who wants Shang-Chi to become a killer. However, Shang-Chi, who knows about his father's evil plans, eventually turns against him.

However, it seems that we won't see this because of ownership constraints. Marvel cannot present the character of Fu Manchu as they do not have ownership rights. But because of the importance of the character Fu Manchu to Shang-Chi, Marvel has prepared a way to introduce the father figure without featuring the character.
