Kapanlagi.com - The Ministry of Social Affairs together with Bank Mandiri conducted a working visit to North Sumatra Province, Medan City and Simalungun Regency to monitor the implementation of the Government's Social Assistance Program, namely the Sembako Program and Cash Social Assistance (BST) in the Bank Mandiri Distribution Area.

In the event, which was attended by Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara, Bank Mandiri also conducted a ceremony for the distribution of social cash assistance to Beneficiary Families (KPM) and People's Business Credit (KUR) to e-warong agents of Bank Mandiri's social assistance.

Senior Vice President of Government Project Bank Mandiri, Nila Mayta D Rihandjani, said that Bank Mandiri is committed to supporting the sustainability of Government Programs, especially in implementing people-oriented programs initiated by the Ministry of Social Affairs, specifically the Family Hope Program, Sembako Program, and Cash Social Assistance (BST).

"The distribution of social assistance is evidence of the state's concern for its people, especially in the midst of the economic pressure caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that Bank Mandiri's support can further facilitate Beneficiary Families in accessing social assistance so that it can be quickly used to meet various needs," said Nila while accompanying the Minister of Social Affairs in Simalungun Regency, Thursday (11/12/2020).

Nila added that as a form of realization of support in the implementation of the Social Assistance Program, they have prepared the best E-Warong & Mandiri Agents in each area of Bank Mandiri's social assistance distribution.

As a result, Bank Mandiri has distributed social assistance to 3.6 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) for the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Sembako Program in 319 Cities/Districts with a total nominal value until November 2020 of Rp 6.25 trillion for the Family Hope Program and Rp 6.12 trillion for the Sembako Program throughout Indonesia. The number of E-warong Bansos Agents involved in this distribution reached 21,148 Agents.

Meanwhile, in Simalungun Regency in 2020, the Sembako Program has been distributed to 44,366 KPM with a value of Rp 80.1 billion and for the Family Hope Program, it has been distributed to 25,604 KPM with a value of Rp 21.8 billion. The distribution of social assistance in Simalungun Regency is served by 386 Bansos distributors.

In addition, Bank Mandiri also distributed Cash Social Assistance (BST) Program to 1.7 million KPM with a value of Rp. 858 billion, which was implemented in August. In North Sumatra, BST was distributed to 112,410 KPM in 13 Districts with a value of Rp 56.2 billion. For Kab. Simalungun, BST has been distributed to 16,385 KPMs worth IDR 8.2 billion.

In North Sumatra Province, a total of 2,394 bansos agents were involved in this distribution.

"The existence of Mandiri E-warong Agents becomes a solution in the community by providing financial services without branch offices. Mandiri Agents become a bridge to communities that do not yet have access to limited banking transactions. These Agents have been given financial services education so that they can help improve the financial literacy of KPMs. This is in line with Bank Mandiri's commitment to support financial inclusion programs," continued Nila.

In addition, one contribution from Bank Mandiri is to help strengthen the E-Warong business line. Until now, the number of E-Warongs that have received KUR loans is 3,495 E-Warongs worth IDR 383.6 billion.

"In this visit to Simalungun Regency, we also symbolically handed over KUR loans to two E-Warongs worth a total of IDR 350 million and two Graduation KPMs worth a total of IDR 80 million," said Nila.
