1. Meaning of Yaumul Mizan

The first explanation is about the meaning of Yaumul Mizan. What is the meaning of Yaumul Mizan? According to the book Journal of Convergence Education by Qosmedia Team, the meaning of Yaumul Mizan is the day of weighing the deeds of humans. If their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, then they will enter paradise. In a verse from Al Anbiya verse 47, Allah SWT says:

"And We will establish the just balance on the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant." (Quran, Al Anbiya: 47)

In addition, Allah Ta'ala also says in verses 8-9 of Al A'raf:

"The scales will be set up on that Day, so any soul whose scales weigh heavy - it is those who will be the successful. But those whose scales are light - they are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally."

From the above explanation, you can understand that the meaning of Yaumul Mizan is the day of weighing. Where all of our worship deeds during our time in this world will be weighed. No matter how small your goodness and how small your mistakes are, everything will be weighed and calculated fairly with the scales of Allah SWT.

2. Differences between Yaumul Mizan, Yaumul Hisab, and Yaumul Jaza

As previously explained, there is not only Yaumul Mizan, but also Yaumul Hisab and Yaumul Jaza. All of these are processes before humans will live in the hereafter. Of course, each of these activities has differences, and here are the differences between Yaumul Mizan, Yaumul Hisab, and Yaumul Jaza:

1. Yaumul Hisab

Yaumul Hisab is the day of calculation for human deeds, everything will be calculated whether it is good or bad deeds. Both small and large deeds will be calculated, where after everything is calculated, humans will be rewarded according to what they have done during their lifetime.

2. Yaumul Mizan

Yaumul Mizan is the day of weighing all the good and bad deeds we have done. On Yaumul Mizan, each person's goodness and badness during their time in the world will be weighed, and it will be weighed fairly, there will be no deficiency or excess.

3. Day of Judgment

The Day of Judgment is the day when all humans will receive their rewards from Allah SWT. The rewards received by humans will be equal to their deeds during their life in the world.

In the explanation above, we can see that the Day of Reckoning is the calculation of the deeds we have done during our time in the world. The worship we do during the world can be calculated. Everything in our body will testify to Allah SWT about our life in the world, whether we worship well or only commit sins.

And on the Day of Balance, all our good and bad deeds in the world. All the good deeds and bad deeds we have done during our time in the world, whether we have done good deeds or have done more bad deeds. In this weighing, Allah SWT will weigh it fairly, even though the good or bad deeds we have done are only as small as a tiny seed.
