Anwar shared that Mpok Alpa had a habit of sending voice notes (VN) or making playful video calls. This habit made him feel like his friend's voice still keeps calling his name.

"She used to do that a lot, a week before she was gone she would send VN, and then like playful video calls. Especially when she was in Malaysia. If I couldn't sleep, I just slept in my mom's room last night. When I was sleeping, she liked to do this, VN to me, 'War Anwar, War Anwar'. So in my ears, I often hear 'War Anwar'," said Anwar in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, Thursday (21/8/2025).

Not only that, Mpok Alpa is also known as a very strong and always cheerful person even when sick. Irfan Hakim, another friend, reminisced about how Mpok Alpa casually showed her physical changes. She was never ashamed or felt inferior about her condition, even when her hair was gone.

"Yes, video. When she had no hair, she sent a message. 'I look like this now'. Oh God, Mpok. She wore a wig, 'Sis, do you want to see?' then took it to the corner and showed it. 'Oh God, Mpok'. 'Do you want to touch my hair?'. Especially she was so happy when her hair started to grow back," explained Irfan.

Anwar also has a touching story from the last time he visited Mpok Alpa at Dharmais Hospital. At that time, he brought her favorite fried bananas and found her sleeping. The meeting was filled with emotional tears, but Mpok Alpa quickly changed the atmosphere to laughter.

"That was the last time I visited her at Dharmais, right? When I arrived, she was sleeping, and I brought fried bananas because she wanted them. 'Mpok', then she woke up, 'Aa', and then she cried. Then we talked and laughed," said Anwar.

4. Anwar Could Not Hold Back His Tears

Seeing his friend laugh, Anwar could not hold back his tears because he was moved. He tried to hide his tears, but Mpok Alpa noticed and even gave him advice. Interestingly, the late Mpok Alpa also asked about small things like nail art in the midst of her condition.

"We were so touched, and I cried. I didn't want her to see me cry, so I said, 'Mpok, there's so much dust in this hospital.' 'No, there's no dust.' 'But my eyes are burning, Mpok.' Then she advised me, 'Take care of yourself,'" said Anwar.

5. Mpok Alpa Always Thinks of Others

Mpok Alpa's attitude of always thinking of others is indeed extraordinary. Anwar recounted that some time before her passing, Mpok Alpa called him not to complain. Instead, she was worried about Anwar's condition after hearing that Raffi Ahmad was sick and their shooting schedule was canceled.

"It's true, she texted me like that. She was supposed to shoot but it got canceled because Raffi was sick. She called me, 'War, Raffi is sick. I immediately thought of you, you never sleep. Stay healthy, okay?'. In my heart, I thought, 'But you're the one who's sick,'" said Anwar.

Now, all those stories are just memories that Anwar and his friends will always long for. The figure of Mpok Alpa, who was strong, cheerful, and so caring towards others, will always live in their hearts. Anwar also admitted that he was very surprised by her departure, as Mpok Alpa never once showed her pain.

"But she never talked about how sick she was, that's why I didn't expect it when she was gone," he concluded.
